On that day, the millions of Americans who choose their reading material from among the books recommended each week by the Times’ literary columnists will be able to find online the tastiest or most moving archives published by the Book Review since the end of the 19th century. The only drawback is that access to this virtual event is restricted to subscribers of the newspaper.
